elaine pamphilon - new paintings

We are delighted to present an exhibition of new works by Elaine Pamphilon.

Elaine lives and works in St. Ives, where the beaches and fishing harbours that surround her studio have been a constant inspiration. Her work is characterised by a vibrant use of colour and a free, confident approach to painting, evident in the still life and landscape works in this exhibition.

"I love walking and am always making mental notes about colours, shapes, lines and textures. When travelling, I jot ideas down in a book. It may be something that I see that holds my attention, or it can be something completely visually unrelated, an emotional reaction to being in that specific space" PAMPHILON
