Adam Gallery are delighted to be hosting this exhibition of ‘New works’ by Colin KENT. One of our longest standing artists, Colin continues to depict the English landscape in his unique style. He is especially drawn to the coastal landscape of East Anglia where he lives and works. This show also contains a few ‘Venetian scenes’ – another favourite subject of the artist. Colin works in mixed media, combining watercolour, acrylic, gouache and ink. These richly atmospheric paintings have a timeless romantic quality that is rewarded with thought and contemplation.
Colin was born in London in 1934. He studied painting and architecture at Walthamstow College of Art and worked for a number of years as an architect before becoming a fulltime artist. He was elected a member of the RI in 1971 and has regularly exhibited in the UK and USA.
